Everyone on tumblr is talking about Muxtape, a new site that allows you to create online mixtapes. You can upload up to twelve songs that will stream on a fixed url attached to your username (username.muxtape.com). The songs can’t be more than 10MB, which is kind of a bummer (I couldn’t upload the new Death Cab for Cutie song, for example), and you can’t download the songs, but I’m sure they’d get in a legal mess if that was the case.

T-Sides threw one together on the spot to see how it works. It took all of 10-15 minutes. The upload feature works pretty quickly (though that may change as the site gains popularity), and you can organize the play list using a drag and drop organizer, which also lets you edit the the song’s artist and title – perfect for rickrolling.
