[...] I understand that I am one of the few people in the world that really like the new Jay-Z album, and I’m fine with that (consider this Taylor vs. Everyone Else, Part 2). I also understand that regardless of what I say here, few of you will be convinced. But I’ve never been the type of person to give up without a fight. [...]

then perhaps it was in 2002, but I'm pretty sure when I saw them it was in Seattle... either way, I've seen them before, a couple years ago.

I'm not "shit talking" Sam Champion. Honestly, I respect anyone who has the balls to go out there and make music. Their stylings aren't my thing, but that's okay. If you actually read this post, you would've understood that my point was NOT to point out that I dislike Sam Champion (and I also never said or even implied that I didn't think people might like them), simply that I tend to disagree with a lot of other bloggers and critics. Also, assuming that I didn't see Sam Champion before recently is a silly mistake, because I did -- when I saw them, it was years ago, back in Seattle at a Barsuk show -- I believe it was with John Vanderslice and Death Cab for Cutie at the Paradox in 2001 or 2002, but that was over 4 years ago, so you can't blame a girl for having a short memory.

Why would someone take a band like Sam Champion's first good press and shit talk it on two different blogs? First there was your linked Stereogum comments. Then you dedicate a whole post to saying how much you disagree that people might like the band? It seems like a weird use of time. If you weren't waiting in line for Killers tickets two years ago you would've had a vantage point and seen how far this band has come and will continue to go.
